Evan was having a tough day when the 3rd graders had their music program and Open House. He managed to pull through. He did great with the xylophone. It was the before and after that he wanted nothing to do with!
We had a great Halloween. We went to a party at The Davis' house first and then trick or treated our way back home. Evan smashed his previous record (of 1 house) by trick or treating all the way home! It was so exciting. He even delivered one of our favorite lines from It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. He got his candy from a house and then said, "Can I have an extra piece of candy for my stupid brother." It's the line Lucy says because Linus is sitting in the most sincere pumpkin patch missing out on all the candy!
Evan's teachers were so excited to show me Evan's score on his math test today. He got an 86! This was the same test that his regular ed. classmates took on place values. We are so proud of Evan! I'm also including a picture from his latest spelling test.
David Elementary held it's Character Parade last week. All the students and teachers dress up as a character from one of their favorite books. Evan chose Charlie Brown and carried "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!"
Finally got a back to school picture of Meagan. She got a haircut on Saturday and she looks so beautiful. She's doing her hair and wearing bows. Wonders never cease!
Got this great shot of Evan before he stepped on the bus this morning. It's so weird having the kids at 2 different schools, but it does make mornings a little less hectic. Evan is now a 3rd grader at David Elementary. And Meagan is a 5th grader at Collins Intermediate. She won't even let me watch her walk down to the bus stop. Although I do sneak a peak to be sure she's there!
